As with all these older USA made pottery pieces there are signs of wear/use/age. Great for Spring and Summer get togethers too! We also carry the serving platter, serving bowl and gravy boat in this pattern. This ceramic is not bright white, it's more of a bone or off-shite color. Matches very well with pink depression glass pieces. That's 24 pieces of beautiful vintage American made pottery! Because of the pretty flowery pattern, we would definitely use it for special occasions like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, birthdays, etc. Each place setting consists of six pieces: 1 Dinner Plate, 1 Soup Bowl (coupe), 1 Salad Plate, 1 Dessert/Fruit Bowl, 1 Cup and 1 Saucer and we have 4 place settings. This is part of an entire china set by Knowles, very old, hand washing in recommended since it is old, it is not dishwasher safe.
Knowles and all the pieces have an almost retro, smooth, clean shape. It features a beautiful floral pattern of white, pink, and yellow flowers of various sizes, with taupe and silvery leaves on thin branches all finished with a gold rim.
